Hz Jewellery.

3D Printed Jewellery influenced by Cymatics.

Cymatics is the study of sound and vibration made visible, typically on the surface of a plate, diaphragm or membrane.

This was a project that inspired my personal jewellery range of pendants and brooches. A high frequency is produced through a speaker with a plate to form visible shapes out of salt or liquid. Images were photographed and imported into a 3D CAD program ‘Rhino’ then modelled and sent to 3D wax printers. Silicon moulds were made and cast in sterling silver. Then polished by hand and oxidised. The frequency range was from 15-70Hz.
